Don't you just hate mobile phones? I was spending a little down time having a gentle browse around some of the shops at the Elsecar Heritage Centre when my agent rang. Apparently Sam Steinway, head of Steinway Entertainment inc, wants me to take the lead role in a new detective drama series his company is developing for US television. According to my agent it is projected to be the next big US smash hit. Unfortunately for all concerned I have turned the role down even before seeing the scripts as I am more than content just to do my own thing nowadays. I have played detective roles in the past, most notably in the Harry Flynn film trilogy & later as Micky Thunder in 'DEAD MEN DON'T WEAR Y FRONTS' so I'm afraid I have been there & done that. Ah well it is back to my double malt.................

At last the sun has come out! I am taking advantage of this unusually clement weather to take a trip down to the Elsecar Heritage Centre. I intend to have a spot of lunch at my favourite cafe followed by a peruse around the antiques centre. It is my Great Grand daughters birthday soon so I shall also make a point of visiting WOWHOW educational toyshop in order to buy her a gift. Perhaps I may bump into some friends for a chat & a meander around the site. Who knows I may see you there?
