MONTYS DIARY
I had an absolutely spiffing time at the Elsecar Heritage Centre today. After a slow start the weather was at it's best. I divided my time between soaking up the sun & browsing around the shops. After lunch in Brambles tea rooms I ventured forth into the antiques centre where I bagged myself a rather stylish silver topped gentlemans walking cane. After being asked to sign a couple of autographs & pose for photo's I found myself over at the railway, where I sat on a bench & watched the world pass me by for a little while. Thank heavens I was wearing the panama hat which was presented to me by that wonderful actress Audrey Heartburn as a present at the close of filming the 1959 motion picture 'THE CASTAWAYS', a romantic comedy in which Ms Heartburn & myself played a Heiress & her butler who, after being involved in a aeroplane crash, find themselves marooned on a desert island where, despite a series of hilarious incidents, love blossoms.
